Common fixes

The problems people run into most, and how to sort them out.

They don't fit right, or feel loose or tight

These come in two sizes, Standard and Small. Most fit problems are either the speaker pads sitting in the wrong spot or the wrong size for your head.

Not sure which size you need? Wrap a soft tape measure around the back of your head, from behind your left ear to behind your right ear. Keep it snug but not tight. Over 9.25 in (23.5 cm): Standard. Under 9.25 in: Small. In between? Go with Standard. No tape measure? Download the Size Guide from this page. It has a ruler you can print and cut out.

  1. Put them on from behind. Hook the loops over your ears, with the band running around the back of your head.
  2. Find the right spot for the speaker pads: resting on your cheekbones, just in front of each ear, not on or inside your ear.
  3. Check the band. It should sit low on the back of your head, around the top of your neck. If it rides up high, or leaves a gap, the size probably isn't right.
  4. Test the fit. Shake your head and look down. They should stay put without you holding them, and without squeezing.
Right position, but still too loose or too tight? Measure your head as above. If your measurement points to the other size, contact us and we'll help you with next steps.
Music sounds far away? The pads have moved off your cheekbones. Slide them forward until they rest just in front of your ears, and the sound will fill out.
