Most people are fixed in the first three steps.
One side is dead, quiet or uneven
Everyday Earbuds
- Swap ears. Left earbud in your right ear, right in your left.
- Stays in the same ear → it's fit or wax. Clean the tip or try another size.
- Follows the same earbud → keep going.
- Check your balance setting. A slider off center sounds exactly like a broken side.
- iPhone: Settings → Accessibility → Audio & Visual
- Android: Settings → Accessibility → Audio adjustment
- Clean the nozzle and tip. A blocked nozzle is the most common cause of one quiet side. Wash the gel tip in warm water with a little mild soap, rinse, and dry fully. Clear the nozzle with a soft brush or dry cotton swab. Nothing wet.
- Charge both fully.
- Reset them. See Reset your Raycon.
- Try a second device. Still quiet on a laptop means the earbud has failed.
Crackling? Same steps. Try a downloaded song instead of a stream first.
