It won't charge
Essential Open Earbuds
Swollen, misshapen or hot case? Stop. Don't charge it. Contact us.
- Charge the case first. A flat case can't charge anything. Plug it in and check its light.
- Dry everything. Never charge damp earbuds or a damp case.
- Clean the pins. Wipe the metal pins on the earbuds and inside the case with a dry cotton swab. Nothing wet.
- Re-seat them. See Put your earbuds back in the case. The case light blinks green as each one goes in. If your phone still shows them connected with the lid closed, they aren't seated.
- Swap sides. Put the left earbud in the right slot and the right in the left. Charge for an hour.
- Problem moves with the earbud → that earbud has failed.
- Problem stays in the same slot → the case has failed.
- Check the power. Push the cable in firmly at both ends. Try another outlet.
