- Clear the microphone openings. They're small holes on the outside of each earbud. Sweat, makeup and lint block them. Wipe with a dry cloth and clear the holes with a dry cotton swab. Never push anything in or use liquid.
- Check where the call is going. Connected to two devices? The call may be on the other one.
- Check the app. Video and messaging apps have their own microphone setting and permission.
- Test one side at a time. Record a voice memo with one earbud in, then the other.
